We did go to our little branch "Trunk or Treat" since we were in charge of half the stuff.

Thankfully, my kids are out growing it a bit.

Cool costumes! A dentist office in Orem was heading it up (today only)& you get raffle tickets depending on how much candy you bring. There were lots of cool prizes. I've also heard about a 'halloween fairy' that comes & leaves a toy in exchange for your candy. As for our tradition w/candy, we follow my family's tradition, which sounds similar to yours before you went off sugar. It all goes in a big bowl & mom & dad decide when/how much candy gets eaten. I feel the same way about halloween decorations/costumes. fun/happy/cute stuff- not spooky/horror things.Rob and Marseillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13723166385445493627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4144795012504114230.post-37510630405068195292011-11-01T08:35:55.169-07:002011-11-01T08:35:55.169-07:00For FHE last night we went over the timeline of th...For FHE last night we went over the timeline of the King James Bible and talked about the Reformation a bit. Everyone gets out and is friendly and sees their neighbors, and we all have fun as a community. It's about the only time of year that you see so many of your neighbors and are so friendly with them!

For that reason, I don't agree with having trunk-or-treats on Halloween itself, though it's great beforehand. I really feel that Halloween is a day when we should be in our own neighborhoods, building relationships with the people right on our own streets. It's a great chance for that.Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14247515387599954817noreply@blogger.com
