I don't have much to say tonight, only that my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti at this time. I so wish I could do more!!!
In case anyone out there feels the same, and doesn't know where to start, I recommend donating to the following charity: LDS Philanthropies (Because the year-round Humanitarian efforts of the LDS church are funded by its members, and because all their humanitarian workers are volunteers, and not paid, more of the money you send will get to the Haitian people, and not to non-profit overhead costs.)
If I could adopt half a dozen Haitian children right now, I would in a heartbeat. I pray that the Lord will comfort and help the people of Haiti.
I'm hugging my babies a little tighter tonight.
We know of two Haitian children that were brought to the US just 7 weeks before this tragedy hit. The orphanage they came from was hit and initially only 2 people were injured. Now one has died. The children are in need of food, water, and other necessities. Their website shows pictures of their desperate situation. We all need to keep this country in our prayers.
